Safety and boundaries

Draft: this policy will be finalised after owner and legal review.

What helpers must never do

  • Diagnose, recommend or administer medication
  • Clinical procedures or skilled nursing
  • Access bank accounts, or ask for passwords or OTPs
  • Impersonate anyone or sign documents for them
  • Emergency medical response — call 999
  • Unsupervised childcare
  • Anything illegal, or buying restricted goods

For customers and families

  • Book with the agreement of the person being helped. The helper asks again before entering a home.
  • Never share an OTP or password with anyone.
  • Be careful if anyone asks for money in advance outside the agreed booking.

About verification

"Phone verified" means the helper confirmed their number with a one-time code. "Identity reviewed" means a GoShebok staff member reviewed their government ID. Neither is a police check or criminal background clearance.
